Five9 says the cloud is the future for how companies deploy software. It sells software that lets companies replace old, legacy call centers with web-based call centers. Five9 (FIVN) topped the consensus quarterly estimate earlier this month.
Watch my interview with Five9 (FIVN) Chief Executive Officer Mike Burkland to learn more about this paradigm shift to the cloud.
In this ’14 interview Buckland said Five9 (FIVN) has been providing call-center services since 2001 and that he sees significant growth opportunities.
On May 12, 2015 (FIVN) reported results of ($0.12) beating the Thomson Reuters consensus estimate of ($0.17) by $0.05. Revenue for the quarter was $30.30 million, up 24.7% over the year ago period.
The consensus estimate for the year is a loss of ($0.54) cents per share for the current fiscal year.
