A Deal a Wiseguy Would Love
It’s a deal a wise-guy would love. Mobster Al Capone’s famed hideaway in Miami Beach has been on the market since 2018 and now you can scoop it up for 13 million dollars, a 2 million cut from the original asking price.
Some might consider that a steal. It’s a 4-bedroom waterfront villa with a pool, a 2-story cabana, and a guesthouse. And maybe the best of all, 100 feet of property on Biscayne Bay.
Capone bought the house in 1928. Renovated it and lived there the rest of his life, except for the time he spent in Alcatraz prison.
Climate Change Buzzkill
Scientists say climate change is driving bumblebees towards extinction. Fox’s Carmen Roberts reports.
A study shows hot temperatures linked to climate change are killing off bumble-bees across North America and Europe. Researchers from Canada’s University of Ottawa say you’re about half as likely to see bumblebees today in the places they’ve lived in North America. That’s a disturbing trend to ecologists who say bumblebees are crucial pollinators doing work honeybees cannot. Scientists say you can help save Bumblebees by planting native shrubs and flowers and by leaving fallen logs and foliage to protect the bees from excessive heat. Carmen Roberts Fox News
The study is published this week in the journal, Science.
