Japan goes into high alert after North Korea launches four missiles, three of them landing in the Sea of Japan. The launch coincides with joint US-South Korean military exercises. The US military says the launch did not pose a threat to North America.

Nearly 5 Million Participate Worldwide in Women’s March | Carmen Roberts Anchors

More than half-a-million protesters in Washington, according to DC’s homeland security director. No arrests, but lots of emotion at the Women’s March on Washington. ((Sound))From singer, Alicia Keys to women from 26 states, including celebrities and women’s rights icon Gloria Steinem ((Sound)). Women rallied in DC and in 600 “sister marches” around the world.

President Trump’s spokesman ripping into the media for underestimating the number of people who attended the inauguration Friday. Sean Spicer says it was the most ever. Period. Yet, DC Transit says twice as many people used the subway to attend President Obama’s inauguration in 2009.
